Spot the Difference

If you're anything like me, you scrunch your face up at a banana that has spots all over it and refuse to eat it. It is said that that's when the banana is the sweetest and best used to bake great things like banana bread. In turn it can be compared to how you can be when you choose to follow Christ. "The skin you're in often becomes the skin that no longer feels right or looks right to you. It happens as you grow closer to God. The places you used to go and things you used to do are too loud, too silly, and unfulfilling. You can see the spots of sin on it and how quickly they can multiply and rot your spiritual growth." But, just like the spotted soon to be black banana peel that will never return to its original state, neither can you. When you've shed your old skin and make that great decision to follow Jesus, you literally become a new creation. Sort of like a caterpillar turning into a butterfly. Chew on that for a minute! Did you know that because Jesus died on the cross for Your sin that you can begin a new life in Him?! Once your new life begins, He peels off that spotted skin and you begin to produce good fruit so others can see and taste the sweet love provided by Jesus. Let God create something new in you! "Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?"
