Let's Make a Deal

Does “delight yourself in the Lord” sound like one of those pins someone posted from pinterest or a saying one of those church mothers start with when they get up to testify. "Baby delight yourself in the Lord and he'll give you the desires of your heart Psalms 37:4" Well, you're probably right—it does! Sometimes these churchy sayings get so overused that we aren’t even sure what they mean or if they are really a bible verse. Delighting yourself in the Lord means trading those worldly things for the things of God.

God wants to be your “person.” He wants you to delight in Him! When you make Him the person who gives you the most joy in life, he will give you the desires of your heart or as my Bishop says, "God will give your heart what to desire".
