One of the Littles asks me each day, “Ms. Kia are you going to come back tomorrow?” I usually respond with I won’t make any promises but I will try my best to be here. The question is most likely out of concern because the children have had a lot of things change and taken from them these past few months. I make sure to be honest with her letting her know that things change and even though I usually don’t miss work I am human and I don’t want to give her false hope if something was to happen and I didn’t come the next day. I really thought about the question asked and immediately started thanking God because I don’t have to wonder if He will be back tomorrow. He’s always there. God never changes, “He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever”. He said he “will never leave you nor forsake you”. (Hebrews 13:5)
It gives me hope knowing that even when things change and people leave, God’s there no matter what!
